“Arrested Development” executive producer Brian Grazer said on Adam Carolla’s Monday-night podcast that new episodes of the sitcom were slated to begin shooting in January or February, with Netflix to begin streaming them about four months later.
Back in April Grazer told podcaster Bill Simmons, “We’re going to do another 17 episodes, so stay tuned for more Arrested Development,” though at the time Grazer did not specify Netflix’s involvement.
17 episodes is atypical for any episode order, but then again “Arrested Development” never produced the same number of episodes for any two of its seasons:
22 episodes for Season One;
18 episodes for Season Two;
13 episodes for Season Three; and
15 episodes for Season Four.
Michael Cera, who was 15 when he started on the series in 2003, turns 27 on Sunday.
