“The Daily Show” will spend almost two months host-free.
Sept. 28 is when controversial former teen soap star and South African chat-show host Trevor Noah takes over, Comedy Central announced Thursday.
Jon Stewart announced April 20 that his final “Daily Show” broadcast as host will be Aug. 6, 2015.
The "Daily" hiatus will not be as long as the "Late Show" hiatus over at CBS, where Stephen Colbert doesn't take over until Sept. 8. David Letterman signed off May 20.
Stewart makes me laugh all the time. I've yet to laugh at anything I've seen Noah do. I do judge Noah far more handsome than Stewart, however. I think Bill O'Reilly has proven repeatedly that handsome is more important than funny.
