A James Gunn regular joins his newest project, the horror thriller THE BELKO EXPERIMENT!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy follow-up (as a writer, not director... but we'll get to that in a second) is called The Belko Experiment and Gunn has been giddily announcing the cast of the flick one by on via his Facebook page.

Already announced are Tony Goldwin (who we all were so happy to see dragged to hell at the end of Ghost), John C. McGinley, John Gallagher Jr and Melonie Diaz. Now we have Gunn's BFF added to the mix.

That's right, the great Michael Rooker will be playing a maintenance man named Bud Melks who Gunn described as a pretty nice guy (atypical of the usual role Rooker gets to play) who is "ill-equiped to deal with the mysterious forces who start making all the employees in Belko start killing each other."

Greg McLean (Wolf Creek) will be directing this thriller, presumably while Gunn himself dives deep into Guardians 2.

Gunn promises yet more awesome cast announcements dropping soon. Sounds like a fun premise and so far he's got a good batch of actors set to play against each other. Looking forward to seeing how this one shapes up!
