Matt Parkman, the telepathic cop played by Greg Grunberg on “Heroes,” is returning this fall for the NBC sequel miniseries “Heroes Reborn.”
An Entertainment Weekly source indicates Grunberg will have a “guest star arc,” which suggests to me he’ll be in more than one of the new episodes.
Grunberg joins Masi Oka, Jimmy Jean-Louis and Jack Coleman, reprising the roles of Hiro Nakamura, "The Haitian" and Noah "HRG" Bennet respectively. All four actors appeared in all four seasons of the 2006-2010 series.
New to the franchise is former “Chuck” star Zachary Levy, who may or may not play a new role similar to the one played by Zachary Quinto on the original series. (#Zacharys.)
Tim Kring (“Crossing Jordan,” “Touch”), who created the original “Heroes,” will be back as “Heroes Reborn” showrunner.
