As the new trailer for THE GALLOWS notes, every school has its spirit. My high school was haunted by the ghost of a bullied girl who had been locked in a janitor's closet as a prank, only to die there when an old wing of the school caught fire.
This was all bullshit. The drama teacher fabricated the entire story, but it was enough to keep us on edge if we were ever in the building alone when things got quiet.
But unfortunately for the characters of THE GALLOWS, their high school ghost is all too real.
The story follows a group of high school students who stage a recreation of a school play 20 years after a student died during the initial run, and find that the story hasn't been completely put to rest.
Last month, we caught a peek at a promising teaser, and now we have a full trailer to broaden the scope of the film. The tension is still high, and the trailer boasts several potentially terrifying moments as the students traverse the halls of their high school after dark.
THE GALLOWS opens on July 10th. What do you guys think?
