After seeing FURY ROAD, my mind immediately raced to how incredibly artificial and gimpy the action material in trailers for this film felt by comparison. I very much wanna be proven wrong in my skepticism towards this one, although I’ve the sneaking suspicion that I wont be. We’ll see.
I similarly suspect that, based on the final results of the film and its critical reception, FURY ROAD may end up being something of a game changer in regards to production methodology for pictures of this nature. Although it’s harder to make movies George Miller’s way…and Hollywood doesn’t like ‘harder’ projects…so maybe not.
Come what may, here’s a new international poster for T-GEN. I’m, like, totally unclear on why so many of these poster images feature Khaleesi lugging around a Terminator head like a bowling ball. She can’t bowl with it - it wouldn't roll straight. Is the head activated? Does it talk to her like a wacky decapitated cyber-sidekick of some sort? Is it meant to make her look ‘badass’ - because she isn’t coming across as such in the promo materials we've seen thus far? Is one of the heroes in the film gonna say something ‘witty’ like, ‘Lemme give you a little head…’ - toss the T-skull at a badguy - at which point it explodes? I'm so confused.
