Hey folks, Harry here... Luc Besson has announced a new science fiction saga based on the French comic saga VALERIAN. Here's the image that Luc Besson released:
The original comic that inspired that title is this:
It was created by Artist Jean-Claude Mezieres (who did work for Luc Besson on FIFTH ELEMENT) and writer Pierre Christin! The story is centered upon a Spatio-Temporal Agent named Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and his redheaded assistant named Laureline (Cara Delevingne). I am not that familiar with the series, but believe you me, I'm now starting to dig in. To give you an idea of the scope - take a gander of some of these animated episodes that aired on Canal+. Luc Besson produced these 40 Twenty-Six minute episodes! So you can bet they meet with his satisfaction:
This is exactly the kind of project that gets me giddy for Luc Besson! FIFTH ELEMENT is still one of my all time faves.
