We now know when to expect more “Heroes” (September) and more “X-Files” (January), but there’s really no news yet when it comes to the next “24.”
Reporters asking when we might expect more adventures set in Jack Bauer’s universe only learned that the next installment was “still fairly early in development.”
"There's really nothing we can tell you at this time other than we are working on something," Fox co-CEO Gary Newman told conference-call listeners Monday.
Since the airing of last year’s “24” miniseries many have pondered whether Kiefer’s Sutherland’s Jack Bauer character would be involved in the next chapter. The answer still seems wide open: Bauer could have a big role in the next one, or a small role, or no role.
And, of course, lots of TV projects “in development” never make it to air at all. The next “24” may fall into that category.
