Jesse Eisenberg, who went follicle-free to play Lex Luthor in the next Batman movie, isn’t the only guy balding it up for a fast-approaching superhero film.
“X-Men” overlord Bryan Singer this weekend tweeted a photo of James McAvoy getting shorn to better approximate Patrick Stewart’s look for the 1983-set “X-Men: Apocalypse.”
I say McAvoy gets closer than Tom Hardy did to play Picard's clone in "Star Trek: Nemesis."
McAvoy’s Xavier sported a full head of hair in both “X-Men: First Class” (set in 1962) and “X-Men: Days of Future Past” (set mostly in 1973).
Singer, director of “X-Men,” “X-Men 2” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” directs “X-Men: Apocalypse” from a screenplay by Simon Kinberg (“X-Men: The Last Stand,” “X-Men: Days of Future Past”). It’s due in cinemas May 27 of next year.
