Tonight’s 10 p.m. SNL Vintage was originally aired May 13, 2006, way back when Kenan Thompson and Darrell Hammond were still on the show. It opens with a really funny sketch examining the horrors that would have transpired had Al Gore been elected president. Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus reunite for the latter’s “monologue.” Will Forte plays Bruce Jenner. Fred Armisen plays George Carlin. Kristin Wiig, still standing in the blonde shadow of Amy Poehler, appears in two sketches and a fake commercial.
SNL was last Saturday’s top broadcast in late night or primetime. (The basketball game ran on cable.)
The ABC movie was “Shrek The Third.”
