ABC was reportedly giving serious thought to an “Agents of SHIELD” spin-off centered on SHIELD agent Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse, played by Adrianne Palicki.
But the Mockingbird project is now reportedly dead, and that probably has a lot to do with Marvel’s just-made decision to bring Marvel’s “Agent Carter” back for a second season.
This will be Palicki’s second comic-book-based project that didn’t quite make it to series. The 5’11” Palicki, a longtime “Friday Night Lights” player, was cast as the lead in David E. Kelley’s “Wonder Woman” pilot a few seasons ago.
Senior “SHIELD” writer-producer Jeff Bell, co-showrunner on the last, best season of “Angel,” co-wrote the spin-off pilot with fellow “SHIELD” staffer Paul Zbyszewski.
