The CW renewed “Arrow” for a fourth season long ago, and it’s probably even getting another spin-off starring Brandon Routh as Ray “The Atom” Palmer.
Talkback legend Shermdawg sets us up for tonight’s almost last “Arrow” of the season:
Previously on "Arrow"...* After the events of the previous episode where Ollie was left no choice but to give in to Ra's al Ghul's demands that he become his heir as leader of the League of Assassins, his transformation begins, and over the course of three weeks of training and brainwashing, he sheds the identity of Oliver Queen and accepts the name of "Al Sah-him, Heir to the Demon."
* Diggle appears to have been captured and is brought before Sah-him and Ra's. He claims the League never let him leave when he escorted Ollie and the others to Nanda Parbat to save Thea. He tries to remind him of the promise he made to prevent him from ever becoming something else....because y'know, that can only happen so many times before it complicates the intro monologue.
* Ra's leaves it upon Sah-him to deal with him, and after a brief sword fight Diggle is seemingly killed until it is revealed to be some random Joe and that Sah-him had been hallucinating due to an ancient herb that "brings one's conscience to the forefront of their mind so it is the only thing that they see."
* Back in flashback land... Ollie, Maseo, and Tatsu make their way back to Akio, avoiding those infected with the Omega virus General Shrieve has unleashed on Hong Kong. After taking out a squad of troops and blowing up a cargo of the virus Shrieve was passing off as a cure, the trio eventually meetup with Akio, but while escaping the city discover he has been infected.
* Ra's takes Al Sah-him to the ruins of a village nearby and tells him he joined the League along with another man, Damien Darhk. They became the prized agents and horsemen of the previous Ra's al Ghul, and after he challenged him as Ra's rightful heir he was forced into killing Darhk, but in his hesitation, Darhk escaped....taking with him his hive network of loyalists and water from the Lazarus Pit and has been a thorn in Ra's side ever since....as well as Ollie's over the last year. Ra's instructs Sah-him that Darhk is still a rival and must be eliminated.
* Felicity mentions Diggle may need to get a suit of his own at some point if he's gonna take over for Ollie and Roy.
* Laurel being the newb vigilante that she is, gets the tables turned on her during a fight and is saved by Nyssa. They get burgers and shakes afterwards but aren't able to dig in before Laurel reveals that Ollie has accepted Ra's offer to become his heir which upsets Nyssa causing her to run off. Laurel doesn't bother bringing her a doggie bag when she apologizes later on.
* Nyssa reveals now that Ollie has became Ra's heir, he will track her down at any cost. Diggle and Felicity refuse to believe Ollie could be turned. Eventually he finds her, they fight, but he backs down once Laurel and Diggle arrive on the scene. During the encounter Laurel debuts her new "Canary Cry" collar that Cisco Ramon helped develop during his recent visit to Starling City.
* The League kidnap Diggle's wife Lyla and demand Nyssa be brought to them. At the meetup Sarab checks all of Team Arrow for weapons except Felicity when she tells him not to touch her. Turns out she was packing. After the switch is made, Lyla hugs Diggle, then Felicity retrieving two pistols. She spins around and opens fire on the League. A fight ensues, Nyssa is carried away, and Diggle is injured by Sah-him. Thea arrives in archer gear just as Diggle is about to be impaled and saves him by putting an arrow through her brother's arm. She threatens to put the next in his eye, to which he backs down and walks away.
* Al Sah-him brings Nyssa back to Ra's. She shows no fear towards her impending death. Ra's orders Sah-him to kill her so she can not challenge his position as heir, but before he can do so, Ra's stops him saying it isn't necessary, he's broken her, and that she can serve another purpose. Ra's reveals the two shall marry to unite the families.
* Felicity consoles a heartbroken Thea and reveals that Roy is alive and they faked his death.
* Ra's asks Al Sah-him if he remembers the village he took him to earlier in the episode, he says he unleashed death upon it and it is the final act of ascension to Demon's Head. To erase one's former life and former home. He reveals he has the Alpha and Omega bio-weapon that has been the focus of this season's flashback storyline, and he orders him to unleash it on Starling City.
* Shit's about to go down on a massive scale for the citizens of Starling......again.

Oliver/Al Sah-him (Stephen Amell) finishes his training and is left with two final tasks to become the next Ra's al Ghul. Ra's (guest star Matt Nable) threatens Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) and delivers some shocking news. Meanwhile, Malcolm (John Barrowman) makes a surprising offer to Team Arrow and Thea (Willa Holland) goes to see Roy (Colton Haynes).
