I came across this trailer a few days ago, thought it looked rather great, then (somehow) completely forgot to post it here on the site (!?!?!?) Nonetheless, this seems like a lot of fun and I wanted to make sure y’all knew about it in case you hadn’t chanced across this promo yet.
Here’s a look at JONATHAN STRANGE AND MR. NORRELL, BBC’s forthcoming series adaptation of the 2004 novel by Susanna Clarke.
The series is helmed by Toby Haynes (who directed the lovely Matt Smith-era DOCTOR WHO episodes The Pandorica Opens and The Big Bang) and is scripted by Peter Harness (who wrote Kill the Moon for DOCTOR WHO last Season/Series, and has also worked on WALLANDER).
JONATHAN STRANGE AND MR. NORRELL transmits in May on BBC One, and will hit BBC America at some point later. LOVE the sand horses!
