AICN COMICS: Check out Ryan Schifrin’s NO REST FOR THE WICKED, a short film based on the comic book series THE ADVENTURES OF BASIL & MOEBIUS starring Ray Park, Zachary Levi, Malcolm McDowell & a monkey!

It’s Ambush Bug again. A while back I reviewed the short film NO REST FOR THE WICKED which is an adaptation of the comic THE ADVENTURES OF BASIL & MOEBIUS (reviewed here). Both are created by Ryan Schifrin and is one of the few cases where the creator of the comic directs the film adaptation. But Schifrin is more than qualified to do so since he was the man behind the very cool film ABOMINABLE (reviewed here). NO REST FOR THE WICKED is a throwback sort of flick in the vein of the Indiana Jones films. It’s got a fantastic cast with Ray Park, Zachary Levi, and Malcolm McDowell. It’s also got a monkey, so it’s got to be worth checking out.

The new trade paperback collecting the first volume of ADVENTURES OF BASIL & MOBIUS called THE DEVIL’S HANDSHAKE is available now and can be picked up here. The second volume entitled THE SHADOW GAMBIT was just announced and will be available this July!
