Late last week we saw a teaser for BLACK OPS III, the next installment in the tremendously successful CALL OF DUTY franchise. As promised then, a full-on trailer for the November 6 release was revealed over the weekend, revealing some of the game’s ‘specialists’ and the powers they possess.
Also, here’s a reel featuring some gameplay, and more explanation of how specialists work.
A third reel indicates that, despite The Powers That Be’s efforts to distance BO3 from ADVANCED WARFARE (the most recent futuristic entry in the series), this newer game will feel very, very similar to AW in terms of gameplay. Which isn’t an issue for me, because I'm within the '1%' who really liked ADVANCED WARFARE. Although, I do agree with the sentiment that going back to the ‘boots on the ground’ vibe and mentality of the franchise’s earlier entries…by way of embiggened upgrade for this new generation of super-consoles…would be most welcomed. And it's long overdue.
