We know that Casey Jones is coming back, but another fan-favorite will be appearing in TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2: Baxter Stockman, who creates the Mouser machines to hunt down our titular heroes in a half-shell.
And who’d they get to play Dr. Stockman? Why, Tyler Perry, of course!
It’s so easy to make fun of Perry that it’s almost like…he wants us to think of him as a joke. But I can’t deny that his “straight” performance in GONE GIRL last year was one of my favorite parts of that film, proving that he can play in the big leagues when he tones that “shrieking-demon-in-drag” routine down a bit. Plus, this mad scientist role will probably allow him to go fairly big, especially if he starts to turn into Stockman-Fly; who doesn’t want to see a half-fly, half-Tyler Perry flying around shooting uzis at the Turtles?
