Here’s a new trailer for THE LITTLE PRINCE, from KUNG FU PANDA co-director Mark Osborne. It’s an adaptation of a lovely tale by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, and features voice work from James Franco, Mackenzie Foy, Paul Rudd, Jeff Bridges, Benicio Del Toro, Paul Giamatti, Ricky Gervais, and Rachel McAdams.
This work was previously brought to the big screen as a live action movie by SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN’s Stanley Donen back in 1974. That picture starred Bob Fosse, Gene Wilder, Richard Kiley, and Joss Ackland. I remember the experience of seeing that version so vividly, although…strangely…I don’t remember much of the movie itself. Maybe I should revisit it...
The new adaptation opens later this year here in the US, but begins its overseas release pattern late July.
