Between its momentous star power and its depiction of some amazing historical events, SUFFRAGETTE is already a highly-anticipated film for 2015. Carey Mulligan stars as a foot soldier in the fight for women's voting rights in England in the early 20th century. Meryl Streep co-stars as the legendary Emmeline Pankhurst, one of the leaders of the movement.
Pathe U.K. has released a teaser for the film in conjunction with the #votingmatters campaign, leading up to the upcoming U.K. elections. It's a short clip, but it wastes no time making its point.
SUFFRAGETTE is slated for release in in the U.K. on October 30th. No release date has been announced for the U.S. yet, but hopefully we will see one soon, along with a full trailer.
