Is Warners set to MAXimize Tom Hardy for 3 additional MAD adventures?

Hey folks, Harry here...   According to an interview with Esquire Magazine saying that he is signed for 3 more MAD MAX adventures, but of course all of that is conditional upon MAD MAX FURY ROAD becoming an international sensation.  The trailers have hardcore film fans chomping at the bit, but I do wonder - how it will do domestically and internationally.   Don't get me wrong, I think you'd have to be a complete ass not to see George Miller's return to the Wasteland at the biggest screen you can, and I can't even imagine all that sound and fury in 3D!  Sure, I've only seen about 20 minutes of the movie at this point, thanks to SXSW...  but what I saw was pure cinema...  Not characters talking, but characters doing.   This is a film that is about showing you things you've not seen before and using the various techniques of film to create madness on screen, madness that we can celebrate in the pure unhinged wow of it all.

Now the interesting thing about this 3 More, which btw - any huge film has its stars signed for future options - and too often, the film or the public just doesn't quite live up, but as I was saying, the interesting thing about 3 more is that if that were to happen...  Tom Hardy would have 4 MAD MAX films to Mel Gibson's 3.  Does that threaten your nostalgic love of the classic Mad Max flicks, or does the idea of Tom Hardy bringing Max back to our screens and future screens just thrill you?   Now the key to me, would be if George Miller directs all of those.   From what I've seen, he's the key ingredient here.   Getting to see George Miller talk about ROAD WARRIOR and FURY ROAD at SXSW was an immense joy.  But if we get 4 new MAD MAX adventures and Miller is fully in charge...  well, the wasteland calls us again!  I can't wait!
