Since publishing his first novel, THE TOWER, in 1999, Gregg Hurwitz has been one of the more prolific writers of crime fiction out there. He's also written for Marvel Comics and DC, with his most notable works being his issues for WOLVERINE and a two-year run on BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT (#10-29, 0 and Annual #1).
So it's impossible to know what kind of story Hurwitz plans to tell with his original screenplay, BOOK OF HENRY. All we know at the moment is that the secretive project will be Colin Trevorrow's follow-up to JURASSIC WORLD. Could this be a return to Trevorrow's indie roots, or something with a little more scale? I imagine we'll find out soon, as casting will probably get underway next month in order to hit the production's September 2015 start date. BOOK OF HENRY will be shot in New York City.
Here's all we know of this project thus far via press release. It ain't much, but these are two artists worth taking seriously. This could be something cool.
