Neill Blomkamp (DISTRICT 9, CHAPPIE, ELYSIUM, and the forthcoming ALIEN film) has joined the full-on feature film version of the LEVIATHAN short which stormed the Net last week.
He’ll Executive Produce the project. Simon Kinberg (X-MENs FIRST CLASS and DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, FANTASTIC FOUR, CHAPPIE) is also coming on as a producer.
Kinberg’s first-look deal with Fox also gives Robinson potential studio backing should they decide to move forward.
As of this posting, helmer Ruairi Robinson’s posting of his proof of concept video for the project has racked up nearly 600,0000 views on YouTube and over 1 million plays on Vimeo.
