A new ‘proof of concept’ video for a project called THE LEVIATHAN has made its way to YouTube with this scant context:

Ruairi Robinson, it turns out, is the director of THE LAST DAYS ON MARS, a Liev Schreiber-starring space thriller about a Martian expedition gone wrong, which happens to be on my watch list. You can find it physically or streaming via Amazon and iTunes. Robinson was also nominated for an Oscar back in 2001 for directing a short film called FIFTY PERCENT GREY.
Here’s what Robinson cooked up for THE LEVIATHAN. Bearing in mind this is proof of concept, and it seems pretty damn impressive…
This has a THE CLONE WARS vibe about it which I really dig. And I love that one feels the moral quandary of harvesting these creatures from this short reel alone - which might portend some heady potential for a full-on feature.
I was emailed this link by an industry friend concurrent to Coming Soon’s posting of the vid, but I'm shouting-out to CS for good measure!
