Deadline is reporting that Bruce Willis, Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart have all signed on to star in a new Woody Allen film. The report states that it is his 2015 film, but he has already filmed IRRATIONAL MAN and that is expected to debut at Cannes later on this year and he is also developing his first TV series for Amazon so I am thinking that this is actually his 2016 film.
Woody Allen has been pretty hit-or-miss in these last few years, but when he hits it’s been really great stuff (BLUE JASMINE; MIDNIGHT IN PARIS). Plus, he’s never worked with Kristen Stewart or Bruce Willis before and Jesse Eisenberg is too perfect for his films to only have TO ROME WITH LOVE under his belt. On top of that, the thought of Bruce Willis in a Woody Allen film should excite any movie fan. So, I am really hoping this project turns out to be one of Allen’s great ones.
