Bruce Willis to star in a Broadway production of Stephen King's Misery! I'm the number one fan of this news!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Why hasn't anybody thought of this before now? Stephen King's Misery is kind of perfect for a stage play. It mostly takes place in one location and it's a showcase for actors. James Caan and Kathy Bates did a bang up job in Rob Reiner's film (Bates won an Oscar for her portrayal of Annie Wilkes, the craziest fangirl in the world) and I'm excited to see new actors tackle those roles.

Yes, Misery will be taken to Broadway with none other than Bruce Willis playing Paul Sheldon and Elizabeth Marvel playing Annie.

For non-theater buffs, Marvel is probably best known for her turn as the ambitious Heather Dunbar on the current season of Netflix's House of Cards.

To make things even cooler the great William Goldman is penning the theater adaptation. He's not only one of the best screenwriters we've ever had, but he's already proven a knack for this particular material. He did write Reiner's movie, afterall.

I'm not sure when this show is premiering, but it is supposed to have a “strictly limited” run. As a bonafide Stephen King nut I gotta find my way to NY for one of these shows! Who has a couch I can crash on?
