CW Planning ATOM-FIRESTORM-CANARY-MORE Team-Up Spinoff??

I am – Hercules!!

I guess they won’t call it “Justice League” because the big-screen versions of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman might object, but The Atom, Firestorm and The Black Canary – all members of the print version of DC Comics’ Justice League – may be teaming up for a spin-off set in the CW/DC universe currently shared by “The Flash” and “Arrow.”

Caity Lodz, who played Sarah “Black Canary” Lance, would apparently be part of the spin-off, even though her character was killed off on “Arrow.”

Those repising their roles in the potential spin-off would include Brandon Routh as Ray “The Atom” Palmer, Victor Garber as Martin “Firestorm” Stein and Wentworth Miller as Leonard “Captain Cold” Snart.

Additionally, Deadline Hollywood reports that the potential series would include three major DC Comics characters that have never appeared in a TV series.

But, one has to ask: How many “major” DC characters haven’t appeared in “Smallville,” which has featured appearances by Sandman, Wildcat, Supergirl, Zatanna, Aquaman, Mera, Hawkman, The Red Tornado, Star Girl, The Star-Spangled Kid, Connor “Superboy” Kent, Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad, Cosmic Boy, The Wonder Twins Zan & Jayna, Impulse, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Martain Manhunter, Cyborg, Dr. Fate, Luthor, Brainiac, Zod, Bizarro, Doomsday, Darkseid, the Golden Age Green Lantern, Flash & Atom, as well as Green Arrow, Deathstroke and Black Canary.

Longtime “Dawson’s Creek” writer-producer Greg Berlanti, who wrote the Ryan Reynolds “Green Lantern” movie before he created “Arrow,” “The Flash” and CBS’ upcoming “Supergirl” series, will co-write the CW/DC team-up pilot.
