Last week we learned that Timothy Olyphant would be joining Joseph Gorden-Levitt and Zachary Quinto in Oliver Stone’s upcoming movie about Edward Snowden.
Now comes word that Nicolas Cage will be on the team as well - ‘in the role of a former U.S. Intelligence official’ - per THIS piece at Deadline.
Expected to release next year, Stone is a writer on the project along with Kieran Fitzgerald. It’s in large part derived from Luke Harding’s book THE SNOWDEN FILES, and Anatoly Kucherena’s TIME OF THE OCTOPUS, which I don’t believe has published yet.
Cage has been hit and miss lately….more miss than hit I suppose. Come what may, Stone's Snowden movie has to be better than this thing, no?
