Empire has a new poster for COBAIN: MONTAGE OF HECK, a new Kurt Cobain documentary which opening in UK cinemas this April ahead its early May bow on HBO here in the States.
The picture comes to us from Brett Morgen, who helmed the Robert Evans documentary THE KID STAYS IN THE PICTURE back in 2002, and produced DORA: THE GIRL HEARD ‘ROUND THE WORLD in 2010. It’s a DORA THE EXPLORER documentary whose title I love, and I’ve never understood why kids on that show shout at such preposterously shrill levels.
I’ll confess to never completely ‘getting’ the whole Cobain fixation, but clearly something about him speaks to folks given that his memory and legacy endures to this day. Maybe this movie will help me figure out what I’m not seeing, that others clearly do…
