Uber-Producer Scott Rudin To Adapt The Trippy Sounding Graphic Novel THE SCULPTOR!!

THE SCULPTOR GN cover

Scott Rudin (producer of THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL, CAPTAIN PHILLIPS, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, MONEYBALL, and much more) and Josh Bratman (producer of the surprisingly OK FRIGHT NIGHT remake) will producer THE SCULPTOR, based on Scott McCloud’s recently issued graphic novel of the same name.

The story…

...centers on an artist, destitute and living on the streets, who makes a deal with Death: the power to create with his hands, but after 200 days, his time on Earth is up. Art begins to flow from his hands but complications ensue when he meets the girl of his dreams.

…says THIS piece over at THR.

No word on who will script the picture, or when it will arrive.  However, I’m a sucker for living on borrowed time scenarios (BABYLON 5’s John Sheridan, for example), so this one has my attention…
