Live in Chicago? Capone has a whole theater for an early screening of KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE this week!!!

Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here.

With just a handful of movies in his filmography, Matthew Vaughn has become one of the most exciting directors working today, and one of the finest at crafting and staging action sequences. He’s given us LAYER CAKE (the film that essentially got Daniel Craig his James Bond gig); STARDUST (better than you think/remember, trust me); KICK-ASS; and X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, the film that saved the X-MEN franchise from near obliteration. Not bad. Staying in the world of comic book, Vaughn’s latest is the exceptional KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE, based on the Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons series, and starring Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Caine, Mark Strong, and newcomer Taron Egerton, as the latest to be recruited into this secret society of crime-fighting Brits. I saw this film at the most recent Butt Numb-a-Thon, and I promise you, you want to check this one out. But I’m guessing most of you were excited about this before I started blabbing on about it. And here’s the good news for those of you in the Chicago area…

Once you’ve got your cars dug out, I’ve got an entire theater for an early Chicago screening of KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE for Ain’t It Cool News readers and one guest on Thursday, February 5 at 7:00pm at a theater in downtown Chicago (the exact location will only be given to the winners). Here’s how to win…

To win, send me an email at KingmanChicago@aintitcoolmail.com (please note the new email address) with the subject line “Secret Service” (exactly like that). In the body of the email, I need your full Name, if you are bringing a guest (each winner may bring ONE, confirmed guest--if I think you gave your extra ticket to someone trolling for free tickets at the theater, you won't get in), and the answer to the following question: “What is your favorite bit of spy technology, and why?” The device you name may be from a film, book, television show, etc., but you must give it a name and tell me why you like it so much; if your answer or explanation is lame, you don’t win. Keep your responses BRIEF--no more than 100 words (no matter how tempted you are to go over the limit). Best answers (as judged by me) win, and you'll hear from me very soon if you won.

Although this is an exclusive Ain't It Cool News event, the venue is deliberately overbooked to guarantee a full house. If you can't arrive by 6:45pm, don't enter this contest. If you show up at the last minute, there is no guarantee that your seats will be good or together. If there's even the slightest chance you or your guests will have to back out of attending or arrive late if you do win, don't enter. If you have a job that might make you late or unable to attend, or an ill/pregnant relative, or a temperamental significant other, or a scratchy throat, do not enter. And the 24-hour-notice-to-cancel rule is done. If you win and don't show up for any reason (INCLUDING THE WEATHER), the Black List is your new best friend.

Good luck, everyone! And thanks to the Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation for bringing this very cool screening to Chicago.
