Chiwetel Ejiofor's gettin' STRANGE!

Looks like Cumberbatch won’t be the only Brit in Scott Derrickson’s DOCTOR STRANGE.

Chiwetel Ejiofor is apparently circling a part in the 2016 release. Who he’d be playing is being kept under wraps, but it’s unlikely that he’ll be the villain, said at this point to be Strange's fellow sorcerer Baron Mordo. Borys Kit at THR proposes that he could play a take on Wong, Strange’s manservant, or possibly the Ancient One role that was previously linked to either Bill Nighy, Morgan Freeman, or Ken Watanabe.

Whoever he plays, pairing Ejiofor alongside Cumberbatch seems like a dynamite move. They both have Academy cred, and Ejiofor has also explored genre territory with his terrific turn in SERENITY. Can’t wait to hear which role they actually want him for.

DOCTOR STRANGE casts a spell on you on November 4th, 2016.
