Fox is exploring the availabilities of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson for a miniseries revival of “The X-Files,” according to Fox TV Group chairman Gary Newman, speaking at Fox’s TCA event. The plan is to bring back also series creator Chris Carter, whose “After” series was just unexpectedly aborted by Amazon last week.
A second miniseries version of “24” is also being explored, but it’s still uncertain whether Kiefer Sutherland’s hard-charging anti-terrorist operative Jack Bauer would appear in the second miniseries a lot, a little or not at all.
Newman also failed to confirm whether or not he feels safest of all in cars.
