It sounds like Paramount has finally found their man to helm the third GI JOE film and according to Deadline, that man is DJ Caruso. The talks are early but Deadline describes them as “very promising”.
Caruso is mostly known for directing the two Shia LeBeouf films, DISTURBIA and EAGLE EYE, but he also directed some episodes of THE SHIELD and the much underrated gem, THE SALTON SEA. I haven’t really enjoyed either GI JOE film though, and Caruso hasn’t made a decent film since DISTURBIA (and decent can be argued) in 2007, so this doesn’t really get me interested in GI JOE 3.
