Via Film Music Reporter and Coming Soon emerge details regarding who will score two of this Summer’s most discussed films: Josh Trank’s currently controversial (and not entirely awesome sounding) FANTASTIC FOUR movie, and ANT-MAN - whose somewhat lackluster trailer premiered yesterday.
Marco Beltrami (the last two DIE HARD movies, THE HURT LOCKER, SNOWPIERCER, TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF thE MACHINES) will score FANTASTIC FOUR.
Christophe Beck (FROZEN, EDGE OF TOMORROW, PITCH PERFECT) will score ANT-MAN. It’s also looking like he’s scoring TERMINATOR GENISYS, by the way. I’ve always been a big fan of Beck’s opening credit music for TOWER HEIST…
It reminds of David Shire’s awesome theme for the original TAKING OF PELHAM 123, which is a good thing).
GRAVITY and FURY composer Steven Price was once involved with ANT-MAN - a notion which went south when Edgar Wright departed the project.
ANT-MAN releases July 17, while FANTASTIC FOUR will be seen August 7.
