Here's a look at JANE GOT A GUN, which reunites Natalie Portman with STAR WARS co-stars Ewan McGregor, and Joel Edgerton. Rodrigo Santoro (so awesome as Xerxes in the 300 movies, he also appears in a very different role in 2003’s LOVE ACTUALLY) also stars in the picture, which is directed by Gavin O’Connor (MIRACLE).
The story here finds Portman’s Jane turning to an ex-lover to defend her endangered husband. Regarding the title…it’s difficult not to wonder if they’ll somehow evoke the iconic Arrowsmith tune Janie’s Got a Gun (see the David Fincher directed video HERE). Seems a long shot (pun not intended), but still…
Looks for JANE GOT A GUN to release in early September.
