Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a look at the first trailer for True Story which, appropriately enough, is based on the unbelievable yet true story of Michael Finkel, a disgraced New York Times reporter and an FBI's most wanted killer who assumed his identity.
Jonah Hill plays Finkel and James Franco plays the killer who took his identity. Maybe it's just because the online realm is swept up in Serial craziness because the final podcast for this season was just released, but I could totally see a version of this trailer narrated by Sarah Koenig. Give it a watch! I'm not crazy, right?
The flick debuts at Sundance, so all the lucky fest goers can see it next month and report back on how good it is. I personally love that they cast both Hill and Franco in a thriller, pairing two comedic actors commonly paired together in a story much different than the kind they usually find themselves facing off in.
