BBC has issued a new look at ‘Last Christmas’ - the Yuletide DOCTOR WHO special transmitting on Christmas Day.
So far, the material we’ve seen for this installment has been freaky enough: the minute the notion of Nick Frost as ‘Santa Claus’ in DOCTOR WHO is put into one’s head, the result is a bit brain-scrambling from the outset. The clip below, featuring Frost’s (apparent) intro as Santa in the show, will do absolutely nothing to put this imbalance to rest.
If memory serves, and someone please correct me in the Talkbacks below if I’m wrong, there’s been some indication that this episode has much to do with ‘dreams’ (was it Jenna Coleman who revealed this?), and I seem to recall WHOboss Steven Moffat indicating Santa was ‘real’ here. So, I don’t know what the hell any of this means, and I certainly have no idea what the hell we’re looking at in this clip, but I’m excited to find out…wow…TWELVE DAYS FROM THIS POST!?!?
