Cuba Gooding Jr., who once played a football player demanding to be shown money, will play a football player demanding to be acquitted in FX’s “American Crime Story: The People Vs. O.J. Simpson.”
Sarah Paulson, who has starred in at least three seasons of the same channel’s “American Horror Story” will play prosecuting attorney Marcia Clark.
While Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story” tells only fictional tales, the first season of Murphy’s “American Crime Story,” is based on Jeffrey Toobin’s nonfiction book “The Run of His Life: The People V. O.J. Simpson.”
The 10-hour miniseries will be directed by Murphy (“Glee,” “Eat Pray Love,” “The Normal Heart”) and written in part by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski (“Problem Child,” “Problem Child 2,” “Ed Wood,” “That Darn Cat,” “The People Vs. Larry Flynt,” “Man on The Moon,” “Screwed,” “Agent Cody Banks”).
As with “American Horror Story,” each season of “American Crime Story” will feature an all-new set of characters.
