THE LEAGUE
2009-2015

I am – Hercules!!

FXX Announced Monday that “The League’s” seventh season airing next year will be its last.

The fantasy-sports series, created by “Seinfeld” writer Jeff Schaffer and his wife Jackie, stars Nick Kroll, Mark Duplass, Paul Scheer and Katie Aselton. It never made cable’s nightly top 100 shows since it moved from FX to FXX.

This is the second cancellation for Nick Kroll in less than a week. On Dec. 2 Comedy Central announced that the third season of “The Kroll Show,” launching next month, would be its last.

Kroll will next be seen in “Vacation,” a look at what Clark Griswold’s adult children are up to.

Indie filmmaker Mark Duplass already has his next series lined up. With his brother Jay he created the HBO housemate sitcom “Togetherness,” in which Mark Duplass stars with Amanda Peet and Melanie Lynsky.

Scheer has his next series lined up as well: he’s a regular on ABC’s fast-approaching immigrant sitcom “Fresh Off The Boat.”
