In the wake of yesterday’s announcement that EARTH TO ECHO’s David Green would helm the upcoming NINJA TURTLES sequel come a few indications of who might be joining the Turtles on their next adventure.
From Omelete via Collider, producer Andrew Form reveals…
“We can say that Bebop and Rocksteady are in the film, and Casey Jones is a character that we love and we’re trying to fit him in as well”

Fuller Form subsequently revealed that Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and the character of Shredder are poised to return for the sequel as well.
Bebop and Rocksteady were initially mulled for the first installment but didn’t pan out; word of their involvement this time isn’t terribly surprising.
I thought Green did a refreshingly solid job on the under-seen and under-appreciated EARTH TO ECHO. His name wouldn’t have initially jumped to mind in terms his directing a TURTLES movie, but his doing so actually makes quite a bit of sense. I think he’ll approach the action and characters here with cleverness and charisma.
The NINJA TURTLES follow-up is currently targeting a June 2016 release.
