The SOURCE CODE Sequel Has A Director…

Anna Foerster has an interesting and unusual pedigree.

She’s worked on the effects units (in a photographic capacity) for INDEPENDENCE DAY, GODZILLA, PITCH BLACK, and END OF DAYS, was Director of Photography for Roland Emmerich’s ANONYMOUS and WHITE HOUSE DOWN, was a Second Unit Director on THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, and has helmed episodes of CRIMINAL MINDS, OUTLANDER, and ARMY WIVES.

And now she’s been selected as Director of the SOURCE CODE sequel.

The Mark Gordon Company and Vendome Pictures are returning to produce, with Vendome again financing the project. “Source Code” screenwriter Ben Ripley is back to write the script for the new installment.

…says Variety HERE.

The first SOURCE CODE entry pulled in $147ish million off of a $32 million budget - these numbers reflect theatrical grosses alone.  No word yet on casting, scenarios, or release dates for the new picture.
