Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer gets an iTunes release this Friday!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Star Wars trailer day! Star Wars trailer day! I'm ridiculously psyched for this. I know I should be wary, but this is the fun time. The movie's going to be what it's going to be, for good or ill, but not only is this footage going to tell us what our old friends are up to for the first time in 31 years it's also going to give us a feel on the tone and feeling of a solid decade (if not multiple decades) of constant Star Wars films.

I may not be a fan of the prequels, but I'll never regret the excitement that lead up to that screening.

So, I'm enjoying this and was crazy excited that Austin was one of the cities that got the trailer on the big screen. Now I'm even more excited because it won't just be us lucky enough to be in 30 bigger cities that can watch the trailer on Friday.

Both Lucasfilm and iTunes have announced the trailer will be up on Friday. A specific time has not been given, but if you have an internet connection you'll be able to see a presumably high def Quicktime version of the Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens trailer.

Will we see Han, Luke and Leia? I'm thinking we might. Will we get a glimpse at the bad guy? I think that's a given. No matter what, we're two days away from getting our first real clue at what our immediate geek future is going to look like.

I'll be in a theater watching this sucker Friday morning, but I'm sure someone will make sure there's a post up as soon iTunes goes live.

Less than two days away, folks. Holy moly!
