There will be other hosts for “The Late Late Show” between dirty foreigners Craig Ferguson and James Cordeon.
Americans Judd Apatow, John Mayer, Billy Gardell, Will Arnett, Thomas Lennon, Wayne Brady, Sean Hayes, Jim Gaffigan, and Drew Carey will alternate as host of CBS’ post-Letterman slot between Jan. 5 and March 6.
London native Kunal Nayyar (“The Big Bang Theory”) will also tackle some shows.
Additionally, CBS’ daytime show “The Talk” will air special late-night editions in the slot Jan. 12-16.
Apatow used to interview famous comedians when he was a teen, so hosting a talk show may not be completely out of his wheelhouse.
So if Corden’s show tanks (as I suspect it might against powerhouse “Late Night With Seth Meyers”), CBS will have loads of options.
