Aaron Sorkin’s long in development (and somewhat beleaguered) Steve Jobs bio-film was kicked to the curb recently by Sony roughly a week ago (details HERE).
But it didn’t take long for the picture to be turned back on again, and to find a new home.
As was conjectured at the time the film left Sony, the movie has now found its way to Universal.
A deal has been reached to bring the film about the Apple co-founder — which Danny Boyle is to direct from a script by Aaron Sorkin — to Universal, a studio spokesman confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter on Monday. According to sources, the project had been shopped with a price tag of more than $30 million.
Michael Fassbender is attached to star in the film…
…says THR HERE.
There’s been no word regarding a potential release date for this picture, which is based on Walter Isaacson’s 2011 biography.
