Seems the X-Men franchise has found its Apocalypse!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Apocalypse was all the rage when I first got deeply into comics. He's one of the biggest threats in the Marvel universe, so naturally I've been waiting to see what direction they're going to go with him in the next X-Film.

The first hint on that looks to have just come in. Deadline is reporting Fox has signed their Apocalypse and it might surprise you who they picked:

Oscar Isaac's career's blowing up right now. He's got a part in the new Star Wars, A Most Violent Year is supposed to be great and now he's the villain in an X-Men film.

So, how do you think they're going to pull this off? He gonna be pre-buff Apocalypse and then voice a CG hulking monster or are they going to tone that stuff down and just make Apocalypse a dude with crazy powers?

I personally would hate to lose the imposing stature of Apocalypse. It'd be unlike anything the X-Men have faced before. But I'd take a compromised version of that to ensure a great actor on board and Isaac is certainly proving himself to be one of most interesting up and comers in the business right now.

Thoughts?
