‘Do You Want To?’
Hercules Has Seen Tonight’s Introduction Of Harvey Dent To GOTHAM!!

I am – Hercules!!

Gotham 1.9 FAQ

What’s it called?
“Harvey Dent.”

Who’s responsible?
Teleplay is credited to Ken Woodruff, who wrote 15 episodes of “Gotham” creator Bruno Heller’s “The Mentalist.”

What says Fox?
“Trying to close the Wayne murder case, a young Harvey Dent encourages Gordon to team up with Mayor James. Meanwhile, Penguin makes contact with Mooney's secret weapon, Liza. Guest Cast: Richard Kind as Mayor James, Drew Powell as Butch Gilzean, Mackenzie Leigh as Liza, Nicholas D'Agosto as Harvey Dent, Leslie Odom Jr. as Ian Hargrove, Luke Forbes as John Hargrove.

How does it start?
Gordon brings Catgirl home to meet Barbara Kean.

Does Dent fondle coinage?
A two-headed half-dollar. In his very first scene.

Do Bruce and Alfred get out of the library this week?
Bruce, at least, makes it to the backyard.

How can the mayor help with the Wayne investigation?
I confess I am a little fuzzy on this point!

The promo tells us Selina Kyle is now a guest in stately Wayne Manor. Doesn’t anybody know she’s a future supervillain?
Gordon (understandably) doesn’t trust her in the custody of the woefully corrupt GCPD.

What’s doing with the lesbitastic Barbara Kean and Renee Montoya?
Montoya helps introduce Gordon to Dent. Spooked by her encounter with Zsasz, Kean makes a big decision.

Does Nygma annoy any new coworkers this week?
No. Just Bullock and Gordon, and not too much.

Does Penguin finally kill Fish this week?
Not this week. But he does smell her. If you know what I mean.

The big news?
Gordon finally – finally! – gets Catgirl to describe the Waynes’ murderer to a sketch artist.

What else is Fox not telling us?
Bullock must contend with the disappearance of Ian Hargrove, a clinically insane genius bombmaker who recently blew up 12 munition factories. Dent, meanwhile, is looking hard at Dick Lovecraft, a corrupt billionaire who had a long feud with Thomas Wayne.

What’s good?
The arrangement of items in the gift basket. “Do you want to?”

What’s not so good?
Dent doesn’t do much to liven up a pretty listless installment. (The Hargrove case isn’t a lot more interesting than the corporate shenanigans that filled last week’s installment.) I sense the writers are saving the good stuff for next week’s final episode of sweeps.

How does it end, spoiler boy?
“I love you.”

8 p.m. Monday. Fox.
