Back in September we saw an International trailer for THE CROSSING, director John Woo’s sprawling, two-part chronicle of the 1949 sinking of the steamer ship Taiping.
Here’s a fresh trailer for the picture’s first installment, due to be released in China December 2 (Part 2 arrives in May).
As I’ve said before, if you’ve never seen Woo’s previous film - specifically the full-on, two-part RED CLIFF movie (as opposed to the heinously abbreviated variant which also saw release) - do yourself a favor and find it. It’s among Woo’s best work, and proves he still has plenty of fire burning in his creative furnace.
What an awkward analogy…
No US release date for THE CROSSING yet, although given the amount of attention the picture seems to be getting, I’m sure it’ll become available somehow and soonish.
