Dec. 18 will bring the final “Colbert Report,” its host revealed on Thursday night’s episode.
Colbert could be off the air a while, since there’s still no word on when in 2015 David Letterman will vacate the CBS “Late Show” slot now earmarked for Colbert.
(Though I believe at least one CBS executive said something about Dave departing during the current broadcast season, which ends in May.)
“The Minority Report,” hosted by longtime “Daily Show” contributor and “black-ish” creator Larry Wilmore, takes over Comedy Central’s “Colbert” slot sometime in January.
