Here’s a new trailer for the upcoming big screen adventure of PADDINGTON, due in US theaters mid-January, but set for release in the UK earlier (on November 28).
Debuting in 1958, the film’s titular bear character has previously featured in over 20 books, a television series, and on a healthy portion of ancillary merchandise.
Along with the above-mentioned Capaldi, the picture features the ultra cast of Nicole Kidman, Michael Gambon, Jim Broadbent, Ben Whishaw, Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters and Sally Hawkins. An impressive assemblage of talent to say the least.
I’ll confess to not being terribly well steeped in PADDINGTON mythos. I’d always understood this bear to be something of an sweet and gentle character - but the impression I’m getting from this film’s various trailers are that it’s something of a douche? Which, admittedly, could make the story a tad more interesting. Or am I misunderstanding?
