What is Wonder Woman's origin story in BATMAN V. SUPERMAN?!

"She's a demigod. Her father was Zeus."

There you have it. Wonder Woman's origin in BATMAN V. SUPERMAN straight from the mouth of producer Charles Roven (captured in this Vine).

There have been a bunch of different origin stories for the heroine sometimes known as Diana Prince over the years, including one where she's a "normal" (read: human) Amazonian woman and another where she starts out as a soulless mold of clay. However, DC has been revamping its lineup for the past three years in the "New 52" movement, and WW's backstory in this era is that she is the daughter of Greek god Zeus and the Amazon queen, Hippolyta. And, if that clip is to be trusted (his statement could possibly be chalked up to either confusion or deliberate misinformation), it seems that's the Wonder Woman that Snyder, Goyer, and WB will be playing with in this new cinematic DC-verse.

Now, we know that BATMAN V. SUPERMAN is packed, top-to-bottom, with new heroes and villains alike, so there really wouldn't have been time to give Ms. Price a chunk of time to explain her past like Bane/Talia al Ghul did in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Keeping it simple and relatable (not sure everyone around the globe even knows where the Amazon is…everyone knows Zeus) had to be the name of the game if they wanted to shoehorn the "demigod"'s first appearance into a BATMAN/SUPERMAN flick, so no time for complicated stuff like the orphaned souls of all the women ever murdered by men.

Still, Zeus, as in the lightning-chucking king of Mount Olympus, is a real thing in this "gritty" DC universe WB is concocting. So that's something.
