Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Screw it, I'll admit I've always liked Jude Law. Even when everybody was making fun of him for that rash of Michael Caine remake parts he did. The dude has always impressed me even when he's in a shitty movie. And he will always have my eyeballs on a picture of his if only because of the incredibly twisted killer he portrayed in ROAD TO PERDITION.
So, when I heard he was in a submarine thriller about a buncha desperate guys searching for some sunken Nazi gold I just about did a double take because that sounds like a movie made only for me. An at sea thriller involving the greed of men and some long lost treasure? Sign me up!
Directed by The Last King of Scotland's Kevin Macdonald and starring Law, Scoot McNairy and a bunch of other tough looking sumbitches the flick bows this coming January. Red flag, I know, but I hold that the famous movie dump month could be a rich and fertile time frame for those weird original genre-y flicks that the studios don't know what to do with because they're not summer tentpoles, holiday family flicks or Oscar bait awards season movies.
